Fredericksburg’s Foode and Hyperion Espresso are teaming up to offer popular lunch items at the coffee shop.
Hyperion manager Amanda Jones said she has steadily been adding Foode items to the coffee shop’s lineup for about a month. Every day Hyperion features a sandwich, salad and scone from the downtown restaurant.
Recent features have included a grilled chicken sandwich, grilled veggie sandwich, shaved roast beef sandwich, farro salad and bacon scones.
This week, Jones said she hopes to have chicken salad with greens and a six-minute egg featured.
The items are offered in a limited quantity, so it’s first-come, first-serve at Hyperion.
Jones said more items will be added and customers seem happy so far with the new lunch options.
“It’s exciting to see more partnerships downtown,” she said.
Part-owner Beth Black of Foode said, “We’re so, so, so excited (and lucky) to be pairing up with Hyperion.”
Black said she and chef Joy Crump have been wanting to partner with Hyperion for a while, noticing that the restaurant and coffee shop have many of the same customers.
